Chap Review

My jolly old pick this month and one I’d had my eye on for ages; I’m not sure what originally piqued my interest in this place and can’t even remember when I first became aware of it, but it’s been in the ‘ol memory banks for ages so onto the Curzon in Ash we ventured !

It appears to have been an old pub so there’s loads of parking available.

We were greeted in a satisfactory manner and shown a choice of seats so got comfortable and all was looking good; it had a good level of clientele out and a decent buzz about it.

It was dealio night – starters / main / rice or naan – main (including seafood) which might have attracted some folk down for a scoff.

Credit where credit’s due to the Curzon here; Chap 5 had the biggest onion bhaji in the whole world brought out to him, and after we’d all played keepy-uppy with it for a bit we had to give him a hand to eat it – it was enormous !!

Not a great choice of beers to be honest but decent doms and starters and there were no gripes wheeling out more pickles etc. as they were quite small and polished off quickly.

Bit of a long wait for the mains but out they come and there was a lot of it!!!

Think we may have od’d on the doms and starters as no one was massively hungry, but we ploughed through it and it was average fare.

I had a seafood medley thing which is advertised @ £15.00 – not sure if the portions are reduced for deal night - but I’d have been disappointed to have received it at that price.

Think the other Chaps agreed that whilst not a bad experience in any way, it was an average night out and the food echoed this.

onwards and upwards anyway!!
