Chilli Chaps Reviews
Chap Review

So off to Odiham we rode; the land of the Chinooks don’t you know.

Chap 2’s pick this month and looking online the menu looked extremely comprehensive, but certainly aimed at the top end of the market in terms of pricing.

Odiham is a lovely Town and we expected a fairly grand looking curry house, but it’s a bit tucked away and hidden in all honesty with only a very basic sign reflecting it’s there.

Parking outside was non-existent, however a free car park is available after 18:00 and situated about a 3 minute walk away.

We received a fairly warm greeting from the Proprietor as we walked in and were shown to our seats;  the restaurant is an old converted house – downstairs is the dining area, upstairs the toilet facilities he explained - and I must admit it’s definitely got a “I’m having a curry in a converted house” feel about it.

Anyway: no draught beers on sale / it’s all bottles but hey-ho.

Doms and starters were spot on; we had a mixed starter for 4 and it was very good.

Our Mains were suitable but nothing to write home about; from memory my dish was over 11 nicker and there wasn’t a lot there to be honest, albeit was one of the chefs specials.

I’d personally pitch this restaurant as “AVERAGAE” on the whole, and whilst it received the Chaps recommendation and also “value for money”, it split the group and only just scraped in….

I’d eat there again but there are better out there in my honest opinion.

Onwards and upwards and the quest continues!!!!
